Connie the Cow

Hedgy’S Spines, Mummy Tells A Story

Season 30, Episode 9 of 39

HEDGY’S SPINES Hedgy is out taking some exercise by rolling round the woods, but his spikes are a hazard to the other animals, who tell him to go somewhere else. Meanwhile, a flock of birds are looking for food, but in the field where wheat used to grow, now there is only grass. Connie gets her friends together to plant the field with wheat again. The rodents eat up the grass, and the ants bring grains of wheat to sow. But how will they make holes to plant the seeds in? Hedgy has the solution, rolling round the field, doing his exercises, and making holes for the butterflies to drop the seeds in. By spring, the field is full of ears of wheat. MUMMY TELLS A STORY Connie has to take care of Maddie the lamb, because Maddie’s mummy and daddy have gone to the meadow to gather fresh grass. At bedtime, Maddie asks Connie to tell her story, just like her mummy and daddy do. Connie goes to find her own mummy, who is very clever, and knows lots and lots of stories.
