Tracks of Imagination

Episode 1 of 1

It's not the holidays without a fantastic model train. This December, ride the miniature rails as we follow the creative team of Applied Imagination. This Alexandria, Kentucky-based studio creates spectacular holiday and seasonal train displays that delight crowds at botanical gardens across the United States. Their work has delighted visitors to botanical gardens in Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Cincinnati, and many other cities. These spectacular holiday and seasonal garden railway displays combine model trains with an array of miniature buildings-many of them city landmarks, all of which are historically accurate, architecturally correct, and created completely from botanical materials. The program also focuses on founder Paul Busse and his lifelong love of trains and shows the collaborative process that he and his team undertake to envision, create, and install one of their elaborate displays.
