Guest: Rebecca Lunstroth, Assistant Director at John McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics at the University of Texas Medical School. Rebecca Lunstroth is The McGovern Center's Sacred Vocation Program administrator. The center runs a workplace change program that seeks to help employees experience meaning in their daily work. The Sacred Vocation Program was developed to provide organizations with the opportunity to maintain high performance, while at the same time creating a meaning-centered work environment where employees are taught to see their work as a 'sacred vocation' to nurture a healing culture. A former attorney, Lunstroth decided on a career change herself to find her sacred vocation and in the process learned the intricacies of changing professions and jobs. On Living Smart, Rebecca Lunstroth will discuss how can you bring satisfaction and self fulfillment to your job and when and how should you consider a career change.
