The Deported

The film follows a group of men, raised in the United States or Canada, and repatriated to Haiti for crimes ranging from violent assaults to driving violations and petty theft. Faced with a language and culture they do not understand, the men struggle to adapt to a new and unfamiliar country hostile to their presence. The deportee's families, meanwhile, grapple with anxiety, blame and regret.
