The Arizona Legislature is hammering away at the state’s budget and shaping policy as it nears the end of the legislative session.
In total, about 1,000 bills will be filed and about 300 will pass. It’s not clear when the session will end, though some lawmakers think a budget agreement can be reached with Gov. Doug Ducey as early as mid-April or by early May.
Arizona Week takes a closer look at how policies and proposals are playing out on the floor of both chambers, including education, a proposed gas tax and what the state can expect in terms of economic outlook.
