Samir Madden, a UA student, has overcome superficial perceptions of who he is and in doing so, spreads his message of universal acceptance to his community and beyond.
From the beginning, it was clear that a boy born in India named Samir was not destined for an ordinary life. Born without arms or legs, he was adopted by a family from Tucson when he was 5, and soon learned for himself to make the most of his differences -- and opportunities.
Now, Sami Madden is a Religious Studies & History major at the University of Arizona, and keeps up with his busy schedule with help from prosthetic legs, and a service dog named Ashka. He is also reaching out to young people to share his experience and message. Mitchell Riley brings us the story...
