This story takes a careful look at the pronunciation or mispronunciation of a handful of local street names. In Tucson many streets are named after the people who helped shape the community we live in today. Tucson is a fast growing city and has had a large influx of residents who are from other places and don’t necessarily learn history behind the street names. Street Smarts Columnist, David Leighton, helps uncover the history behind some of these names.
