Lex Gjurasic – Radical Happiness
Lex Gjurasic is a visual artist from the rain-soaked Pacific Northwest currently living in sunny Tucson. Lex’s work comes from the intensity she feels from being alive. For her, life is not an inspiration for art, rather, it is a compulsion to make art. Lex works purely from gut instinct. Creating joy filled paintings and sculptures is her way of processing memories, emotions and experiences in a chaotic world. Her work is a visceral expression of life.

The Water Conservation Conversation
Water crises in the U.S. have earned an increasingly prominent place in the headlines. Severe shortages in the southwest, contaminated supplies across the country, extreme weather events, rising prices, and failing infrastructure have made it clear that we can no longer take access to clean water for granted.
For far too long, water has been treated as a technical issue relegated to the engineers and scientists. Dr. Andrea Gerlak’s voice could help people realize how the issues surrounding water today are far too important to be confined to such narrow spaces.
The water conservation conversation is taking place between everyday people in our community to protect and preserve this precious resource.
Tucson has long been recognized worldwide for leading the way in water conservation given the fact that it resides within the Sonoran Desert. This conversation is a hopeful one that allows viewers see their own potential role in how they can help solve these problems now and for future generations.
