Rescuing Cacti
The Tucson Cactus and Succulent Society has one mission-- to save and protect cacti and other succulents. Since its founding in 1999, the society has saved over 120,000 plants. We meet society members as they work with landowners to remove the cacti from a large family-owned property turned subdivision and replant the succulents at the Waterman Restoration Site.

Barrio Restoration is a local community group dedicated to cleaning up, landscaping, and beautifying streets and neighborhoods in South Tucson. The goal is to foster community support for creating a safe, clean, cooperative, and welcoming environment for all who live there.
Quad Guy
Maybe you’ve seen him riding through downtown, on the west side, the foothills, hurtling down Gates Pass, or as far away as Bisbee. But one thing’s for sure, when you see him, he’s sure to make you either smile or shake your head. He’s the man, the legend, he’s Quad Guy!
Field Notes: Gila Monsters
Gila Monsters can be elusive, but occasionally they turn up in strange places. Producer David Fenster recounts two memorable encounters with this Sonoran Desert icon. This story is part of the series Field Notes in which Fenster brings us observations from the Sonoran Desert and beyond.
