Carmen Baron fell in love with folklorico when growing up in Altar, Sonora. Ever since she moved to Tucson in 1973 she has been dedicated to pass on her Mexican heritage.

Carmen Baron fell in love with folklorico while growing up in Altar, Sonora. That’s where as a young girl, her mother placed her on her lap while she worked at a sewing machine. But Carmen didn’t start learning about her Mexican heritage until she moved to Tucson in 1973. Since then, she has been dedicated to passing on her knowledge and the tradition of folklorico to the next generation.
Carmen Barón se enamoró del folclórico en Altar, Sonora donde fue criada. No fue hasta que se mudó a Tucson, Arizona en 1973 cuando empezó a aprender sobre su herencia mexicana. Desde entonces, ha dejado su marca en el movimiento folclórico y continúa a compartir su conocimiento con la próxima generación.
