Tucsonan Zaira Livier believes making the world a better place starts close to home. Her own complicated history informs her work as a human rights advocate and grassroots organizer working to change local polices around immigrants’ rights. But Zaira’s story isn’t only one of political empowerment; it’s also a tale of navigating through great personal tragedy.
