Taco Sauce has been voted ‘Best Punk Band’ for the last two years in Tucson Weekly’s Best of Tucson but the genre hardly defines them. The trio represents Tucson’s evolving music scene by shifting between surf rock, punk and Latinx drawing influence from Queen, the New York Dolls and T Rex. Bandmates Gabi Montoya and Isabella Rodriquez formed the group in early 2018 and have recently been joined by Quiahuitl Villegas on drums.
