Listen:
New signage will be installed throughout the week along Interstate 10, east of its interchange with I-19 in Tucson.
Most of the work will take place between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., and will result in the highway often going down to one lane. A stretch of eastbound I-10 near the Park Avenue exit will see roadwork during the day on Tuesday.
Workers will start at the Craycroft exit Monday night, and work their way west throughout the week.
Entrances and exits will only be affected on two occasions. Westbound on and off ramps at the Kino Parkway-Ajo Way (exit 263) will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday, and the westbound entrance ramp at Park Avenur will be closed Friday night through Saturday morning.
The Arizona Department of Transportation is warning drivers of possible delays from the highway going down to one lane for 1-2 mile stretches, and asking drivers to slow down and proceed with caution through the area.
