Before you head out to vote in the May 17 special election, Pima County election officials want to ensure you know where to cast your ballot.

State law required the county to reduce the number of polling places by half.

“Pima County has approximately 240 polling places. We’re going to have 124 physical voting locations,” said Brad Nelson, Pima County election director.

Nelson said you can quickly check your polling location on the Pima County website.

You can also see a list of every polling place in the county.

Most Pima County voters cast their ballots by mail.

Election officials remind people who still have their mail-in ballot to take it to a polling place, not the post office.

Polls are open until 7:00 p.m. Early ballots can be dropped at any polling place.
