Experienced farmers and their novice neighbors are taking classes about different agricultural topics such as soil, small animals, marketing and production. It’s part of a joint effort between the University of Arizona-based Cooperative Extension, the United States Department of Agriculture, and other groups who hope to provide more local fresh food to consumers, and improved economic opportunities to the producers.
