The race between Martha McSally and Mark Kelly is expected to break records when it comes to campaign fundraising.
In 2018, the race between McSally and Kyrsten Sinema was the fourth most expensive Senate race in the country and the most expensive race in Arizona history. Experts expect the totals from two years ago to be easily passed before Election Day 2020.
It will, "actually pale in comparison to the 2020 which should not only break but shatter that previous historic record," said Mike Noble, pollster and political analyst with OH Predictive Insights.
According to the federal campaign finance reports filed in October, Democrat Mark Kelly raised $5.3 million during the last quarter and has $9.5 million in the bank. Republican Martha McSally, during the same period, raised $2.9 million and has $5.6 million in her campaign account.

Money is not the final predictor of election outcomes, but Noble said Republicans should worry.
"Yes, we are early out. However, every quarter is another shot based on support and the all-important money race, which is very indicative to the outcome of Senate races," he explained.
Election Day for Arizona's Senate race is just a little more than one year away.
