This live-action program follows the exploits of Wishbone the dog and his human friends, Joe, David and Samantha through their adventures in their hometown of Oakdale. Wishbone's everyday experiences trigger hi s imagination and he finds himself in scenes from classic works of lit erature. In this episode, as her dad reaches his 40th birthday, Samant ha searches everywhere for the perfect present. Meanwhile, Wishbone as Hercules searches the earth, finding big trouble, as he labors to ret rieve the golden apples of the Hesperides in the story "Hercules, and the Golden Apples.
