Comic Festival in Angouleme - The international comic scene meets for the 42nd time in Angouleme in western France. This year the festival takes place in the wake of the attack on the satirical magazine "Charlie Hebdo," and a prize for freedom of speech will be presented for the first time. Extreme Unicyclist Lutz Eichholz - After three years of planning, Lutz Eichholz managed to scoot down 5,600-meter-high Mount Damavand in Iran on his unicycle. His record-breaking descent defied dizzying drops, injury and temperatures ranging from 40 to -7 degrees Celsius. Lagerfeld's Cat as Advertising Star - Fashion guru Karl Lagerfeld has used his cat Choupette for the new Opel Corsa calendar. It's the brainchild of Opel's chief marketing officer Tina Muller, a former cosmetics manager who joined the Opel board in 2013. Nordic Trends in Stockholm - For a week in February, Sweden's capital becomes the biggest meeting place worldwide for Scandinavian furniture design. The Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair has existed for 60 years, and was the inspiration for the Stockholm Design Week, first launched in 2002. It incorportates more than sixty high-profile events at venues around the city. 650 exhibitors will be showing their newest creations. Antique Luxury Car Auction - A Paris auction featuring some sixty old cars that were discovered rusting in an old barn in western France. One of the items under the hammer is an original 1961 Ferrari California Spider that once belonged to French actor, Alain Delon. The rare collection is on exhibition and is a dream come true for antique car fans.
