Zoltan Maga: From Budapest with Love is a beautiful music and dance program introducing Hungary's foremost violin virtuoso to PBS audiences. Zoltan Maga has performed in concert halls throughout Europe, and arenas on five continents before audiences who embrace his classical crossover style and endearing personality. Taped live in Budapest, November 2014, at the historic Vigado Concert Hall located on the Eastern bank of the Danube River, Zoltan and his guest ensemble perform a heart-rending and exhilarating selection of familiar waltzes, wonderful arias and light classical pieces. Zoltan's special guests include world-renown Albinian opera tenor Saimir Pirgu, Romanian soprano Valentina Nafornita, Russian soprano Natalia Ushakova, the 30-member Hungarian National Dance Ensemble, the Savaria Ballroom Dancers, the Szilver Ballroom Dance Group of Hungary, singers from the Budapest Operetta Theater, a 14-piece Budapest Gypsy Band and the Budapest Primarius Symphony Orchestra. Viewers will also enjoy scenes of Budapest's historic landmarks as Zoltan performs several classics on his violin in scenic locations around the city. Recognizable sights of Budapest's rich culture and beauty include a fly-over of the Hungarian Parliament, the Hungarian National Museum, the iconic Chain Bridge, Fisherman's Bastion, a nighttime cruise down the Danube River and views of the city from high above Castle Hill.
