Brownies

Season 1, Episode 4 of 26

Brownies: Mona learns about healthy foods and bad foods and what happens when we eat too much sugar. Nana has made some brownies for Mr. Wooka. He comes to the door and Nana talks with him. Mona comes in and starts to eat the brownies, and in no time she has eaten all but one. When Nana realizes what Mona has done, she tells her that she can't eat them all because she will get an upset tummy. Nana asks Mona how she is feeling and she says she is feeling good. Mona gets excited and Nana cautions her not to stir up the brownies in her belly. Mona wakes up Russell, and jumps on him. Nana cautions her to slow down or she will get sick. Nana takes the last brownie for Mr. Wooka and tells him how Mona ate three on her own. Mr. Wooka believes she will get a stomachache. Then the puppet show begins. Puppet Show: We see a monster with chocolate. Another monster comes in and warns against sweets and says to eat bananas. The monster brings back an ice cream and the other brings in a watermelon. Next, he brings in a cake, while the other brings in orange juice. The first monster then brings in pop. The other monster says he won't be strong eating those foods and challenges him to a race. The healthy eating monster wins, while the sugar monster is sluggish and burnt out. Russell and Mona run off to play. They jump around the backyard and decide to have a race. They finish racing, but Mona lags behind and gets a tummy ache. Russell runs to Nana and tells her Mona isn't feeling well. Nana takes Mona inside and puts her on the couch, rubs her belly and gives her a glass of water. Mona drinks the water, burps and starts to feel better. She takes a nap, and when she wakes up she is feeling much better. Nana asks Mona if she knows where food goes and explains that food fuels your whole body. Nana also explains that some foods are better than others, for example brownies aren't so good, but fruits and vegetables are. Nana takes Mona into the kitchen. There is a bowl of fruit on the table. She shows Mona a peach, an apple, and a banana, and tastes them all. Song Time: The Fruity Fruit Song - While they are singing Russell goes into the kitchen and eats some pears, peaches, etc. After the song, Mona decides she would like some fruit. They go into the kitchen to discover Russell has eaten all the fruit. Nana tells Russell that he shouldn't have done that, and he should have left some fruit for her and Mona. Mommy comes to pick up Mona, and they talk briefly about Russell eating the fruit.
