On Saturday, NewsHour Weekend examines the plight of homeless veterans in Los Angeles. The city, which has the highest number of vets without homes, recently signed on to an ambitious national effort to end the crisis by the end of the year. Now, hundreds of service providers are working toward that goal by following a model that first puts chronically homeless vets in permanent housing and then adds support services around the individuals.
