Metro Week delves in to the documentary Fernanda Echavarri produced with Perla Trevizo of the Arizona Daily Star. The two reporters share insight into the months-long project called Divided By Law, in which they tell the story of a family of U.S.-born children whose mother is banned from entering the country for a decade after she was denied a green card. Then we’ll visit a Tucson Unified School District family resource center, which provides extra services to children like those in the documentary, who have stressful family situations that may require additional resources or support.
