Zay visits the Museum of The Great War in the French town of Meaux, tours the Confrecourt quarries that sheltered French troops, journeys to Ypres in Belgium where poison gas was first used as a weapon, explores the tunnels in Vauquois, discovers the site in Fromelles where Australian soldiers were buried in mass graves, observes a vintage tank near Cambrai, watches WWI-era planes in flight at a Paris airshow, visits the battlefield at the St. Quentin Canal where U.S. troops first broke through German lines and pays his respects at St. Symphorien Cemetery in Mons, Belgium where some of the last soldiers killed in the war are buried.
