Season 4, Episode 59 of 99

More than 900 people were fatally shot by police officers in 2015. In the national debate over the use of police force, activists and some law enforcement leaders argue that if police were better trained on when to use lethal force, some of those shootings could have been prevented. On Saturday, NewsHour Special Correspondent Chris Bury investigates how some police departments are using a new style of training for police recruits that emphasizes techniques to better de-escalate conflicts.
