The Isle de Jean Charles, located about 60 miles southwest of New Orleans, has been home to the Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw people for nearly 200 years. But the rising sea levels have erased most of the island's land, prompting government officials to plan to relocate these Native American residents to a new community.
