Leaves of Change

Episode 1 of 1

Nearly 5,000 years old and still going strong, tea is one of the most consumed beverages on Earth. Nowhere is it more culturally and economically significant than in China, its birthplace. The half-hour documentary LEAVES OF CHANGE documents tea culture in China, from its harvest on breathtaking mountainside plantations, to its role in exotic ceremonies in exclusive members-only tea houses, to its surprising significance in bird-fighting competitions. The documentary also reveals how tea is evolving to keep pace with the changes of a modern China.
