Gary planted rose bushes in his garden, but between those rose bushes sprouted spontaneous cacti, specifically the Southwest Cactus flower. This inspired Gary for this episode's scene. It's a beautiful combination of roses and this surprise cactus, which in the Southwest is often considered a weed.
