Season 20, Episode 14 of 52

Salt Lake City Refugee Resettlement - Among the many debates surrounding President-elect Donald Trump is the question of how his new administration will change US policy on immigration and refugees. Some 30 state governors have said they don't want to take in more refugees, especially from predominantly Muslim countries. Many of them cited fears that terrorists might be among the newcomers. However, Utah, a red, conservative state, not only welcomes refugees but has resettled 60,000. Correspondent Lucky Severson reports from Salt Lake City on why Utah has a history of welcoming strangers and what religious groups there are doing to help out. Christmas Music - With the Advent season underway, Managing Editor Kim Lawton looks at how music is central to the celebration of Christmas. She talks with singer/songwriter Amy Grant, who says Christmas music allows people "to feel the presence of hope," and to Wesley Theological Seminary professor Eileen Guenther who says that for Christians, "the songs embody the meaning of Christmas."
