UA President: The Arizona Board of Regents chose a finalist for the job of University of Arizona President. Robert Clayton Robbins visited campus this week to meet the U of A community, and we’ll hear from him about his ideas for the job. Then a debrief about the search process, and why he’s not yet the next president, in an interview with AZPM’s Vanessa Barchfield. Refugees: The director of the Iskashitaa Refugee Network in Tucson, Barbara Eiswerth talks about the local impact and reaction to President Trump’s new refugee/immigration policy. We also hear from a refugee living in Tucson about their experience and perspective on the new policy. Legal Defense Centers: Mexican Consul of Nogales, AZ, Ricardo Santana Velázquez, explains the new legal defense centers the consuls throughout the U.S. added last week. They are to provide representation to Mexican citizens who live in the U.S. Festival of Books: Colette and Jerry Price, two volunteers at the Festival of Books, will share stories about their volunteer experiences, including becoming friends with an author after driving her from the airport one year at the festival.
