Season 4, Episode 15 of 25

Immigration: U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions visited the Arizona-Mexico border this week. AZPM’s Nancy Montoya gets reaction of several people to his statements about toughening immigration enforcement. Honors College Dorm: The University of Arizona is working with a private developer to construct a new Honors College dorm north of the main campus. The UA has said the dorm will help connect the honors community, which is spread across campus (UA declined to be interviewed for this story). Tucson City Councilman Steve Kozachik says the process the UA has taken is skirting city zoning and development regulations. Neighborhood resident Diana Lett says the UA is not only skirting city rules, but the UA’s own rules for planning and community relations. Electricity Rates: AZPM’s Zac Ziegler will explain the new rate structures Tucson Electric Power has set, and how customers can figure out which one makes the most sense for them. Veteran Interment: On Saturday, dozens of homeless or indigent veterans will be laid to rest with formal military burial ceremony at the Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Marana. We’ll talk to Shaun Pfund and Ed Torres, two of the organizers of the local Missing in America Project. The national project aims to identify deceased veterans and connect them with remaining family or provide burial services.
