Climate politics: Kevin Anchukaitis is a climate scientist at the University of Arizona, he explains his findings, and comments about doing work in the present political atmosphere, where science is often a political issue and scientists’ work is sometimes called into question. Corporate science: Erik Bakken, Tucson Electric Power Company’s senior director of environmental services discusses the company’s obligation to follow state and federal laws regarding environment and emissions. Fires: Zac Ziegler interviews Heidi Schewel of the Coronado National Forest and Michelle Fidler of the National Park Service about the projections for the upcoming wildfire season, and how changing climate plays a role. Solar wall: A Mexican environmentalist is visiting Tucson this week, we discuss his proposal to build a solar wall along the border to power both countries. Homero Ardjis is the main interviewee, joined by James Ramey.
