An adaptation of David Walliams' book The Boy In the Dress. The Boy in the Dress is a heart warming story about the impact a mother's desertion has upon a family, with hilarious set pieces and lively, standout characters. In the spirit of Billy Elliot it is a joyous celebration of difference and the irrepressible possibilities of the imagination that will resonate around the world. With David Walliams' unique comic vision brought to life by Kevin Cecil's and Andy Riley's passionate, heart-on-sleeve writing, we hope the film will be a hit with an international family audience. Dennis lives in a boring house in a boring street in a boring town. His Dad has banned cuddles, ever since Dennis' Mum left home to run a bar in Tenerife. Dennis also has a bit of a secret - he finds himself attracted to the colour and glamour of the fashion world and in an attempt to liven things up a bit, he goes to school in a dress. His Headmaster, Mr. Hawtree, is not amused and Dennis is expelled. Dennis has to find a way to get back into school and on the way uncovers some secrets that other people have.
