When President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris climate accords last month, he effectively rejected that the world's wealthier nations -- those with the biggest carbon footprints -- should help poorer nations that are vulnerable to the effects of climate changes like rising sea levels. One such place is the Republic of the Marshall Islands, a nation in the Pacific Ocean midway between Hawaii and Australia.
