Mae West... And The Men Who Knew Her

Season 2, Episode 5 of 12

As the first "blonde bombshell," Mae West reigned supreme and changed the nation's view of women, sex and race. Her bawdy humor challenged taboos of the day and she braved jail for her so-called "pornographic" plays. When censorship issues drove her from films, she toured in stage shows that became classic. Included are clips from Night After Night, She Done Him Wrong, I'm No Angel, Belle of the Nineties, Klondike Annie, Go West Young Man, Every Day's a Holiday, and My Little Chickadee.
