An entire Japanese Division is destroyed at sea (The Battle of the Bismark Sea) and a combined Chinese offensive - General Sun Li-jen attacking from the Indian border and General Wei Lihuang from Yunnan and linking their armies at Mong-Yu - secures the vital Ledo Supply Road.
