WALKOUT DAY-BY-DAY – Arizona 360 looks at the day-to-day impact of the teacher walkout with stories from a church in Tucson that opened up a day camp for students, the Capitol where Red for Ed protests continued this week, and from educators who decided not to participate in the walkout or continued to tutor students while their school was closed. FORMER SUPERINTENDENT ON ADMIN PAY – John Pedicone served as superintendent for both the Tucson Unified School District and the Flowing Wells Unified School District. He discusses how pay is determined for administrative staff, and why pay for superintendents can be in the six-figure range. AZ BUDGET – Pima County Superintendent Dustin Williams discusses how the budget making its way through the legislature would affect school districts in Pima County. FALLEN OFFICER IN NOGALES – Lorraine Rivera tours Nogales with Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada to learn more about how death of Nogales police officer Jesus Cordova has affected the community. Cordova had also served the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Dept. before joining Nogales PD.
