WILDFIRE PREPAREDNESS – Fire managers with state and federal agencies discuss how they prepare for the peak season for wildfires in Arizona. Guests include Steve Millert, southeast district manager for the Arizona Dept. of Forestry and Fire management; John Thornburg, fire management officer for Saguaro National Park; and Steve Miranda, fire staff officer with Coronado National Forest. DROUGHT AND WILDLIFE – Arizona Game and Fish biologist Karen Klima discusses how drought affects wildlife in Southern Arizona. BOULDER CREST RETREAT – Arizona 360 gets an inside look at the Boulder Crest Retreat, a nonprofit that operates on more than a hundred acres of land outside Sonoita. Veterans and their families can stay at the retreat for free and seek help for post-traumatic stress disorder. VA CARE – Southern Arizona VA Chieff of Staff Dr. Anthony Stazzone discusses treatment for veterans in Arizona, including more holistic options offered through the hospital’s Whole Health program. GOLD STAR FAMILY – In her own words, the mother of Army Ranger Sgt. Martin Lugo, who was killed while serving in Afghanistan, shares what it means to be a Gold Star parent and how her son’s sacrifice changed their family.
