PBS News Weekend

Season 10, Episode 1 of 99

Like many colleges in the politically tumultuous times of the late 1960s, the University of Wisconsin was the scene of violent clashes between students and police, anti-war sit-ins, and student strikes. This month, nearly 1,000 former students from that era reunited for "The Madison Reunion" to look back at the erstwhile counterculture movement and how it helped shape the United States today. NewsHour Weekend Special Correspondent Jeff Greenfield went to Madison to speak with some of the men and women who marched, organized, and protested.
