The rich flavor of the spices and the mild heat from the ginger make this a dish sure to whet the appetite. Rika and Patrick Harlan also prepare easy seasoned eggs as one of the toppings, by simply marinating boiled eggs in mentsuyu noodle soup. For dessert, they make matcha soy milk pudding, combining the aromatic bitterness of matcha green tea powder with the natural sweetness of soy milk.
