In episode 2, Jerry has sketched in a chuck wagon, a horse, a cowboy (or two), and campfire using subtle silhouette elements. Uses dry-brush blending to get shapes. While working on the chuck wagon, Jerry switches to the #2 chisel-edge brush so that he can accomplish good square edges where needed. Next Jerry shows how to do ellipses to create the wagon wheels. More work on water puddles in the foreground using the #4 bristle brush and a lighter value paint mixture to suggest water. Using #2 chisel-edge brush and irregular brush-strokes to create suggestion of wood and sticks of the campfire. Next with #4 bristle brush and with soft gray mixture uses dry-brush blending technique again to create the suggestion of trees in the background. Pays special attention to blur for creating soft edges.
