Season 10, Episode 38 of 99

The home continues to flourish more than 100 years after it was founded for retired musicians living in Italy. Composer Giuseppe Verdi called the rest home he started for poverty-stricken musicians in Milan, Italy the finest of his life's work. More than a century after its founding, Casa Verdi is still thriving today, offering retired musicians ongoing concerts, music rooms, pianos, drums, harps, gramophones, and -- perhaps most important -- the company of their peers. NewsHour Weekend Special Correspondent Christopher Livesay reports.
