In the third episode, Jerry uses the soft-vine charcoal to sketch in the main subjects in the foreground like the large dead trees, fallen log, rock formations, and grizzly bear. Then explains the layout of the composition to create proper eye flow. Now he shows how to underpaint each of the foreground objects with the proper brushes and finishes up by adding minor highlights and details to these objects.
