A proposed titanium project could displace the Pondo people from the country's Wild Coast. In South Africa one of the last untouched pieces of its famous Wild Coast is now at the center of a battle over a proposed multi-million dollar titanium mine. Tapping in to the vast titanium deposits along the coast could also force the displacement of the Pondo people, whose footprint in the region dates back centuries, reigniting questions over the South African government's promise to eradicate apartheid.
