Quilting Arts

Season 22, Episode 12 of 13

Learn three methods for printing on quilts. First, Jane Davila pulls out all of the stops with a myriad of paints, sprays and stencils and just as many surfaces, from fabric to canvas. It's a virtual color explosion. Then Vivika Hansen DeNegre is back for an overprinting tutorial. Gel printing on white fabric is the norm, but why not add interest by adding layers of texture and color to enliven a dull or muted print? Up last is Jill Jensen and linoleum block printing. Learn the steps, from drawing the design to transferring the image to a plate, then carving, inking and printing!
