Afton Villa Gardens comes alive in early spring and has for over a century and a half. It is a poignant evocation of a grandeur long past where flowers bloom year round. Once through the archway of live oaks with Spanish moss dripping from their limbs one finds a romantic garden among the ruins. And this is where the gardening lessons start.
