"An Inside Look at Beekeeping" examines the beekeeping industry, from collecting the nectar in flowers to our own dining room table. Bees are an essential element in nature's work, both as pollinators and honey producers. Beekeepers take apart a beehive to look at the various stages of honey production, and the social caste system of the inhabitants. The program visits a honey-processing factory and explores the issues of pollination, the distribution of honey, problems with hives, parasites, and how replacing Africanized queen bees with the more docile European queens helps to manage the aggressiveness of the hive.
