A Lasting Legacy: Morgan Maxwell, - an educator, businessman, and a leader in the civil rights movement - passed away in July. In 1940 his family moved to Tucson and over the decades helped pave the way for many of the positive changes we see in our community. The Maxwell legacy is strong, significant, and lasting. A Passion for Plants: Tucson resident Mark Dimmitt is obsessed with rare plants and he’s also one of the world’s experts on adeniums, the so-called “ desert rose” which he has been propagating for years. He is known as “the king of rare specimens and champion of botanic oddities” and reports a collection of more than 10, 000 plants.
