"Oh give me a home, where the buffalo roam, and the deer and the antel ope play." The song was written before recent decades of rampant human development in the West. Now, many of the huge tracts of undisturbed land that some animals need for survival are disappearing. What's left is often degraded. The program focuses on three animals and their cha nces for continued existence in the changing West: sandhill cranes, de sert fish and antelope. We also visit the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum to see what it takes to keep a "large landscape" animal on exhibit.
