PBS News Weekend

Season 14, Episode 47 of 99

Climate change is causing temperatures around the globe to rise -- and they are rising faster in the Arctic. A warmer Arctic means less sea ice covering the polar regions during the summer months. And that's opening up the area to more human activity, like commercial shipping, oil exploration, and even tourism. It's also causing a geopolitical rivalry. Special Correspondent Benedict Moran and Video Journalist Jorgen Samso report, from Nunavut, Canada.
