BORDER VACCINES: A binational effort to vaccinate thousands along the border is underway in Arizona. The government of Mexico has worked alongside border counties and the University of Arizona to offer the Johnson and Johnson vaccine to about 5,000 Mexican nationals who crossed into the US. NOGALES ECONOMY: Mayor Arturo Garino offers insight on economic challenges his city has faced as a result of travel restrictions during the pandemic. Nogales receives 60 percent of its sales tax revenue from Mexican shoppers. BUSINESS UNCERTAINITY: David Moore has made custom boots in Nogales since 1980. After 16 months of port restrictions Moore tells Lorraine Rivera how he’s kept business afloat after losing 85 percent of his customer base. A10 Warthog: The Department of Defense announced it would retire an entire combat squadron at Davis Monthan Air Force Base. Christopher Conover provides viewers with a look at the attack jet’s history and its future. DM 50: It’s estimated that Davis Monthan Air Force Base contributes $2.6 billion to the region’s economy. Linda Morales, president of the DM50 explains how the organization continues to advocate for the base.
